Etienne Basson, Owner

Installation Experience
Etienne has been in the hardwood flooring business since 1989 and holds a C15 Contractor’s License. He has been based and working throughout areas of Southern California for thirty years. After owning and managing Harbour Hardwood Flooring in Los Angeles for 18 years, he moved the showroom to its permanent home in San Diego. Now, Etienne combines his passion for quality workmanship & installation with his desire to offer quality retail products to homeowners.

Design Experience
Etienne has experience in various residential and commercial jobs from restaurants and homes to airports and government landmarks. While working conventional jobs, he has also volunteered cost, time, and services to restore flooring in various parts of North County such as Olivenhain Meeting Hall and Encinitas Botanical Gardens Gift Shop. He not only has experience working with exclusive jobs such as the San Diego International Airport, Shutters on the Beach, Casa Del Mar and the Fairmont Grand del Mar but with top designers and manufacturers as well.

Sales and Operation Experience
Etienne’s professional associations and experience guarantee not only impeccable installation but notable design input and quality materials. By combining years of manufacturing experience in Indonesia, installation and sales knowledge throughout California, and a hand-picked, knowledgeable team, Etienne has worked to create the perfect combination for your flooring needs.

Mike Kells Operations, Manager

Installation Experience
As a C15 installation contractor with over 24 years experience Mike is an expert in all methods of installation of hardwood flooring including glue down, nail down, and floating. He is proficient with job site preparation and leveling assessment.

Sand and Finish Experience
Mike has extensive experience with sanding, staining, and finishing of hardwood flooring. He is an expert in both Urethane and Oil application and can match or create just about any color asked of him.

Job-site Operation Experience
Mike has been supervising hardwood flooring installation and finishing crews for over 20 years. He can take your job from concept to completion at the highest level of professional conduct and integrity, all while providing premium quality.
