To Etienne,

I cannot say how wonderfully surprised and pleased I was to see my seemingly brand new floors for the first time. I know it is difficult to re-stain white-washed oak because of the different depths of the grooves, so I did not know what to expect.

I was stunned at how beautiful the floors really are. Thank you for making this house take on an entirely different look and spirit.

Mike, you are such a gentleman; when you arrived on my porch step early one Monday morning, when Quentin had pre-arranged that you start, no one was there to greet you, and the men who were supposed to move the furniture out of all 4 rooms had not shown up. We had to delay everything for one day, and you were so good-natured about the mix-up which was completely on my end. Thank you for keeping me posted each day, even when I did not return your calls. Most of all, thank you for working with the eye and heart of an "artist" to make those wood floors look more beautiful than ever.

Quentin, thank you for not giving up on me. And thank you, too, for your referral to the Wood Wizzard, allowing me to work with David Langdon to make the project a little bigger, perhaps, but amazingly do-able and beautiful.

And Etienne, you are my angel to have delivered such "bad news" in an honest and totally necessary way. I now get that I never could have sold my house with white washed oak floors. Do you remember standing in my kitchen and saying, "You're not going to like what I am about to tell you..." No, I did not like the idea of re-doing an entire house, but now that we are this far, I can say it is indeed now a lovely home and you led me in absolutely the right direction. Thank you for your honesty, and for caring about the quality of the work you do.
